Know yourself more deeply. Understand the phase of life you're in. Meet it with greater awareness.

Jyotish, the Vedic science of astrology, offers a map for understanding ourselves and the different phases we move through in life.

What can a jyotish reading offer?

Your birth chart is unique to you. Jyotish recognises that we each have a different nature, different patterns and a different path through life. Rather than offering one answer for how we should all live, it invites us to understand the individual we are.

Your chart encompasses all areas of life - from relationships and family to work, life direction and your inner nature.

While there is no single area a reading needs to focus on, coming with a question is encouraged. A question gives the reading direction and allows us to explore the parts of your chart that are most relevant to what you are experiencing right now.

Jyotish also describes life as unfolding through different planetary periods, known as dashas. Rather than using these periods simply to ask “What is going to happen?”, I'm more interested in asking: "What is this phase of my life inviting me to explore?".

Greater self-knowledge doesn't remove life's uncertainties. But it can help us recognise when we're moving on autopilot, respond rather than simply react, and participate more consciously in what is unfolding.

FORMAT OPTIONS

To prepare your chart, I'll need your date, time and place of birth. You'll also have the opportunity to share a particular question or area of life you would like me to explore.

I prepare and interpret your chart personally, considering it as a whole and giving particular attention to any question you bring. I don't use AI to analyse your chart or generate your interpretation.

My intention isn't to predict every turn or tell you what to do, but to offer a perspective that can help you understand yourself and the phase of life you're navigating more clearly.

My readings are based on Tropical Vedic Astrology. Please send me an email to anugrahajourney@gmail.com should you have any questions regarding this.

For the past two years, I have been studying Jyotish through the Asheville Vedic Astrology Apprenticeship Program, a structured programme combining lectures, independent study, written assignments and chart analysis.

Having successfully completed my coursework and final examination, I am now completing the practical stage of my apprenticeship: 42 client readings.

Each reading during this stage is offered on a donation basis. There is no payment required when you book. After you have received your reading, I'll send you the details to make a donation in an amount of your choosing.

About me

My path to Jyotish has developed alongside a wider engagement with the Vedic traditions. I am a Yoga teacher, am currently completing a 600-Hour Ayurvedic Health Counselor Training, and maintain a personal spiritual practice rooted in the tantric Sri Vidya tradition.

Alongside this path, I spent almost a decade working in consulting and project management for large international institutions, where much of my work involved analysing complex data and information, identifying patterns, and translating them into practical strategies.

These two sides of my life - the analytical and the spiritual - have always coexisted. I am particularly interested in where rigorous inquiry and contemplative practice meet. Jyotish speaks to both: it is a highly structured system of observation and interpretation, while belonging to a much larger spiritual tradition.

What also connects Jyotish, Yoga and Ayurveda for me is their attention to the individual. We each bring a different nature, history and moment in life. This is the spirit I bring to a reading: looking carefully at your particular chart, listening to the context and questions you bring, and exploring what it might illuminate about you and the phase of life you're navigating.

I would be delighted to explore your chart with you.

Namaste, Michaela

Why Anugraha?

In Jyotish, the planets are called grahas. The Sanskrit root grah means “to seize” or “to grasp”. I find this image meaningful: so much of life can be lived as though we are carried by our patterns and reactions without fully seeing them.

Anugraha, meanwhile, carries the meaning of grace, favour or blessing.

For me, Anugraha Journey holds the movement between the two: from being unconsciously carried by our patterns towards seeing them more clearly and meeting life with greater awareness.

Jyotish doesn't free us from life's circumstances, nor does it give us complete control over what comes next. It offers a map through which we can understand ourselves and our experience more clearly - and perhaps meet both with a little more grace.

The map doesn't determine how we experience the journey. It helps us navigate it.
